Vehicdle is a daily car-guessing game. This page explains what happens to data when you play. The short version: your game is stored on your own device, and the only third party involved is Google, which serves the ads that keep the game free.
Vehicdle has no accounts, no logins and no sign-up. We never ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal detail, and nothing we record about your play can be traced back to you.
What stays on your device
Your guesses, your win/loss record, your streaks, your chosen difficulty and whether you have seen the help screen are saved in your browser's local storage. This is a storage area belonging to your own browser. None of it is ever transmitted — there is no server collecting it and no account it could be attached to.
Because it lives in your browser, it is specific to that browser on that device, and clearing your browsing data will erase it permanently. We cannot recover it for you, and we cannot see it in the first place.
The one thing that is counted
The first time you make a guess on any given day, the game requests a URL ending in /played. That request carries no name, no identifier, no cookie and no information about your game — not which car, not whether you won. It exists so we can tell how many people play, as opposed to how many merely open the page.
It happens once per browser per day, on your first guess. Guess five more times and nothing further is sent; come back tomorrow and it happens once more. What we see is a count, with nothing in it that could distinguish you from anyone else who played that day, and no way to link today's tick to yesterday's.
This is separate from the advertising described below, and is not shared with Google or anyone else. If you would rather not be counted, blocking requests to /played has no effect on the game whatsoever.
Advertising
Vehicdle displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise the ads you are shown based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can control or switch off ad personalisation at any time:
- Through Google's My Ad Center settings.
- Through the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
- Through your browser's own cookie settings, which can block or delete cookies entirely.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Before any personalised advertising cookies are used, you will be shown a consent message provided through Google's certified Consent Management Platform. You can accept, refuse, or open the detailed options to make choices purpose by purpose and vendor by vendor.
Your choice is remembered, and you can change it at any time by reopening that consent message. Refusing does not stop you playing — the game works identically either way.
Children
Vehicdle is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date above.
